The office staff is the backbone to the administration needs of the parish community. They assist the Pas-tor/Deacon in all business and sacramental record-keeping functions and are the central interface for the parishioners. Office hours and/or closings are announced at weekend Mass-es and posted in the bulletin.
The primary purpose of the Finance Committee is to assist the Pastor in fulfilling his fiscal and oversight responsibilities with respect to the financial affairs of the parish. The Finance Committee is authorized under Canon 537 of the Code of Canon Law. Members of the committee are appointed by the Pastor and must meet established criteria. Meeting dates coincide with the Parish Council.
Teams of parishioners gather each Monday to count the weekly collections in accordance with Diocesan guidelines. A Team leader is assigned to each group and is responsible for the administrative functions. Teams are scheduled on a rotation basis with each team assignment being no more than once a month. Training is provided.
The purpose and objectives of the Parish Council are:
- To advise and assist the Pastor who is an extension of the Bishop of the Diocese of Syracuse as he shepherds our community.
- To be concerned for the spiritual, educational, social and administrative needs of the parish.
- To evaluate, determine priorities, and set goals and objectives to meet these needs.
- To promote dialogue among all members of our community.
The Parish Council currently meets monthly, January to May and August to November.
The parish offers WeShare, an automated on-line giving program. The program allows a parishioner to make donations via credit card or direct withdrawal from a bank account. You can set a recurring or one-time payment, allocate various amounts for different collections, and stop and restart at any time. There is no cost assessed to the parishioner.
